Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)

What You'll Be Doing

• Robust Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services that support dynamic content generation and delivery for client websites.
• Optimize Data Workflows: Streamline data processing workflows to ensure high performance and low latency.
• Database Management: Implement and manage database solutions, focusing on vector databases for efficient resource retrieval.
• Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain data pipelines to scrape and ingest data from websites and other public domain sources, storing it efficiently in vector databases.
• Seamless Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
• Infrastructure Security and Scalability: Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the backend infrastructure.
• Continuously enhance our engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale our codebase, boost productivity, and support team growth.

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role
• Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js or Python
• Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of database management, particularly with vector databases
• Experience in building data pipelines for scraping and ingesting data from various sources
• Work with the founders and customers to turn product ideas into engineering solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

What Would Be Awesome

• Experience with B2B tools or SaaS products, ideally at an early stage company
• Familiarity with front-end technologies to facilitate better collaboration with frontend developers
• Knowledge of modern build tools and version control systems like Git
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Understanding of security best practices for backend development 
• Track record of shipping high-quality products at scale
